I know I don't know the whole medical story, but its a finger on your non-shooting hand. The team is fading after a decent start. What's up with sitting 4 games for a frickin' finger? I'm pretty much not going to like him from now on unless I find out the injury is something else - which it almost has to be considering he has missed so many games due to a finger. Thoughts anyone?
Who thinks Lebron James is a wimp for not playing with his finger sprained?pro basketball
why is everyone a LeBron apologist? It is a sprained left index finger!!! It's ashamed that everyone keeps apologizing for him. He's supposed to the greatest ever right!?! Not, great players, who have heart and toughness, do not miss games because of a sprained finger, on any hand. Did MJ ever miss a game for something so minor? Kobe, Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan, D-Wade, Melo, KG, and many other superstar players have played through injuries 10 times worse than a sprained finger. What about Corey Maggette? He was supposed to miss at least 4 weeks with a shoulder injury and was back in less than a week. Lamar Odom last season at the end of the year and playoffs playing with a torn Labrum. That's toughness, which is something LeBron obviously does not possess. Also, from personal experience, I played an entire high school basketball season with a fracture in my right wrist. Why? Because I loved the game and didn't want to let my teammates down, something LeBron can care less about.
Who thinks Lebron James is a wimp for not playing with his finger sprained?nba history ,nba teams
It's called being smart about it dude. I would do the same thing. C'mon look at Lebron's first 4 years! He played nearly over 78 + games. Hes pretty durable for a big man and he's gonna wanna keep it up. Stubborn guys with injuries are inviting up to more injuries. See Toronto center Garbojosa playing now? No! he jumped out of the gate too early and now he had to sit out another season with regrets.
No, LeBron better stay out for at least 2 games more..
The cavs don't want it to be worst then it already is..
Well think about it. Lets say he does play out there with a sprained finger and then messes it up again from impact with another player?? He is going to damage it even more and therefore will sit out for longer periods of time
noway it depends on the fingers man
You don't hopefully. Or anyone else if you do....
Seven Days
There is no way he should play and risk further injury. If he plays and the finger gets worse the season is over. He should get healthy and focus on the playoffs. Even if Cleveland gets a lower seed Lebron can carry them deep because he is that good. Look at how long Bibby's supposed to be out for a similar injury.
He has to have all his fingers healthy, so he can chew on his fingernails while watching his team lose without hurting himself.
hes on my fantasy team and im getting relly mad i played him this week cause it a finger sprain he should have played all week im getting really po
im losing so many stats
but,..................
The Cavaliers keep saying they are thinking ''day-to-day'' about LeBron James, but in reality, it is more month-to-month.
It isn't the sprain to James' left index finger that the Cavs are worried about, it's the potential of a resprain 鈥?which is why he sat out his third consecutive game Tuesday. According to team sources, he's very likely to sit out tonight's game at the Washington Wizards, and he might even sit out the rest of the week.
The Cavs are wary about James' finger becoming an issue for the rest of the season, because his fingers and hands take such a beating during the course of a normal game. Opposing teams will certainly be aware of it and might even target James' hand, especially as they slap at the ball as he drives to the basket often.
''I'm pretty sure that LeBron will be able to play with it but at the same time, I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a target,'' Washington Wizards All-Star Caron Butler told the Washington Post.
Butler played with a finger sprain two seasons ago. ''He'll probably be able to put some tape around it and take some precautions but guys will be hitting it so he has to be careful and make sure it's pretty much healed so he can handle a hit because during the course of a game, it's going to get hit.''
it wouldn't hurt for him to play, but will he do the team any good? no he wouldn't. he would actually cause more t.o.'s playing in the game than not playing at all. I have a 70% 3 pt shooting percentage. i had a sprained finger and i was 0 for 5.
I've sprained fingers on my non-shooting hand and it affected everything. My passing, my defense, my rebounding and i had a hard time setting up the laces when getting ready to shoot.
You know, I'm a die heart Cavs fan and LeBron not playing is just crazy! It's not a seperated shoulder or anything like that. It's a sprained index finger. I mean come on! The Cavs have lost 4 games without LeBron. If LeBron dosen't come back soon I don't know what I'll do!
