Why do Kobe Bryant fans and Lakers fans hate LeBron James so much?

They're both great players. Why is it that most Kobe fans (at least on this board) can't appreciate that LeBron is pretty damned good too?

Kobe "fanboys" saying things like "LeBron Sucks" seems fairly stupid to me because statistically speaking, LeBron's having an even better year than Kobe in terms of points and rebounds and assists.

I'm a Laker fan and a Kobe Bryant fan and I recognize talent when I see it. They are both extremely talented and amazingly blessed with the skills that they possess

U just answered your won question..........fans look up to there hero and never want that "Hero" to be a second act, a side-kick, bumped to the edge......everyone knows Lebron doesn't suck....and everyone knows Kobe doesn't either.

Its just the fan statement......its like in the 90's you had your Jordan haters......."Jordan sucks, this and that" when he won 6 rings in 10 years and doing that in a 3-peat.
i love kobe and the lakers. i also love lebron for the simple fact that he IS a beast of a player. he does so much for the game. i dont understand HOW people can hate on him, his stats say alot and i always respect ballers that put up frightening stats. i never compare the two, i prefer to enjoy and appreciate them while i can.

I agree it's stupid to say things like "Lebron Sucks", but I do know who the best basketball player in the world is in thats Kobe not even close, but Lebrons one of the top players in the NBA.
There Just mad because Lebron James is gonna be a way better player than kobe will ever be kobe is right now barely lebron is only so young he hasnt even hit his prime yet which makes it even more scary

Jealous. They figured that it was Kobe's turn, and now everyone is talking up Lebron and CP3, even Dwight Howard. Younger guys that will carry the NBA for the next 10 years. Kobe might have 5 good years left, and has yet to win an MVP or Finals MVP.

Anyone with half a brain can tell that both are very talented basketball players.
1. LeBron fans never stop touting how LeBron's stats trump Kobe, despite the fact that LeBron's team is playing in a weak East and Kobe's stats are almost as good in the much tougher West. And when LeBron gets at least 82 points in a game, maybe we'll talk.

I have to agree with you though, I don't understand why people can't accept the fact that both of them are highly skilled players. Kobe is arguably the top shooting guard in the country, LeBron, the top small forward. It's just a person's opinion, I suppose.
The only reason we Kobe fans may say he sucks because people say Lebron is better than Kobe although Kobe is the best. Lebron is pretty close though.

and for Lebron fans, vice versa.
They say those things because only one of them can stick each other. There is no other person that can lock Kobe down like Lebron does, and vice versa(hope i spelled that right). They are both great players, and they both have a chance of being MVP. I mean MVP means Most Valuable Player, so that doesnt just mean points that means being a team player and showing that you can win without being a ballhog. Kobe Bryant isnt exactly a ball hog, but he just takes over when he needs to. They both have a shot at being MVP. I Hope I didnt get too off topic

I'm a Laker fan so I am a KOBE fan too. But LBJ is a beast in his own right. People that say he sucks are just hating, just like people say KB24 sucks they are hating as well. Right now I think KOBE is the best player in the league, but for how long? King James is nipping at his heels. True basketball fans can enjoy the play of any great player on any team, regardless of who they are or who they play for. GO LAKERS!!!! GO BLACK MAMBA!!!!!

because people keep comparing lebron to kobe, but other than get fantasy stats for make believe teams, lebron hasn't really done anything that spectacular.

basically, lebron is overhyped by the media, and this attention should be focused on rising talent, like rudy gay or monta ellis
